I have remenbered when I met you
Dear Jan.
I got a letter from you dated 26th/June.
Picture of your tower is on the letter
Last letter I got was dated 29th/June.
Therefore the letter dated 26th lost the
way and arrived today(17th/July).
Thanks so much.
For us European's cursive letter is hard
and script style (block style) is better for us.
Also, Post NO. " 276-0046 " of
my address is useful.
Your letter remind me when we met at Raron station.
It had been heavy rain early in the
morning. But when we met on the platform it stopped rain.
You helped us to get on our suitcases
and teached us there was a slope way at raron to change platform.
Not only you helped us, it was big
surprise for us to have a chocolate gift. What a sweet one it was!!
Again big thanks to you.
At the day we went to Tirano through
glacier line and Bernina line.
We had 6 times train change. Start Raron
at 7:42 and change at Visp, Andermatt, Disentis/ Muster, Samedan and
Pontresina.
Each time we had to move our suitcases.
So each time we had a advice from conductor.
All conductors kindly explain about the
train-change station and how to move our suitcases.
Minimum train -change time was 5min, but
we succeeded.
However at last change
"Pontresina", scheduled change time was 7 min, so it should be
enough.
But it caused arrival-delay, so it
becomes -5 min.
There was a big loop-slope to the
another platform, we run and run.
Wheel of suitcases’s
rotating sound is so loud surprisingly and actually surprised American group
who were with small shoulder only so walking down stair.
Latter we met the group in the next
train and also next morning at Tirano station when to go to Milano.
They always chuckled and greeted with
us.
I also chuckling now remembering the
scenery.
More than 70 years old men and women are
running down and up big loop-slope with big suitcases and with big sound.
How do you feel?
I hope you understand my unskilled
English.
Best regards.
P.S I will send you “Japanese
style letter with Japanese stamp” not e-mail
