The nearest station is Hirakara-koen Station (KH20) on the Keihan Railway. A taxi from the station costs approximately $10. However, payment in dollars is not accepted. Credit cards are accepted. The taxi stand is on the east side of the station. Taxi drivers may not understand English, but they can read the alphabet, so please show them the following: ｘｘｘｘｘｘｘｘｘｘｘｘｘｘｘｘｘｘｘ If you wish to walk from the station, a map is attached to the last photo in the Airbnb guesthouse description. It's about 10 to 15-minute walk. Although not shown on the map, a large supermarket, with home improvement store, and a 1-doller shop have opened across the street from the post office. But our house srea is still quiet and safty.

 Next, regarding sightseeing, I actually love trekking and don't know much about typical tourist attractions.

Therefore, I will list below what you can learn through research.

First, regarding how far you can travel in Japan from my guesthouse, toulists usually use the Shinkansen (bullet train) when traveling long distances.

For Shinkansen departures from the Osaka area, it is most time-efficient to depart from JR Shin-Osaka Station when going west towards Kyushu, and from JR Kyoto Station when going east to Tokyo and Hokkaido. To get to Shin-Osaka Station or Kyoto Station from my home, I take a bus from the bus stop, which is a 5-minute walk away, to JR Takatsuki Station, which takes about 20 minutes by bus. From there, you can take a rapid train (no extra charge required) heading west to Shin-Osaka station or east  to Kyoto station which takes about 30 minutes.
By Shinkansen, I can reach Hakata in Kyushu or Tokyo in the east, both in 3 hours. Therefore, it is possible to make day trips to tourist destinations in between the east and west. Note that while there is an extra charge for the Shinkansen,  but the JR 7-day unlimited Japan Rail Pass is advantageous for foreigners. However, this ticket cannot be used on the special high-speed Shinkansen (Nozomi, Mizuho) but can be used for other bullet train and usual Japan rail expresses.

Also, until mid-August, during your stay, it is Japan's vacation period. During this time, trains will be very crowded, and reserved seats will be unavailable. Reserved seats are free except for the Nozomi and Mizuho mentioned above, so I recommend checking the JR NET website for foreigners and reserve seats if possible byt after buy the Japan rail pass.

Therefore, you will be able to sightsee from Hakata in Kyushu in the west to around Tokyo in the east on a day trip.

Now, regarding what to see and do in each of these cities, there are plenty of English websites available online, so please research that.
Here's what I know:

You can find almost everything on "Japan guide com".
Adding "travel guide" to the city name, or using terms like "inside Kyoto, inside Osaka, Inside Nara," will give you more detailed English guides.

Other famous tourist destinations I know are listed below.
West area
Himeji Castle, Takeda Castle, Kurashiki City, Hiroshima City, Onomichi City, Itsukushima, Hakata City
East area
Hieizan, Hikone Castle, Lake Biwa, Hikone Castle, Nagoya City and Nagoya Castle, Amano Hashidate, Kumano Kodo (this takes more days), Hida Takayama, Mount Fuji, Hakone, Yokohama City, Tokyo.

枚方公園口のバス利用について。

it takes 5min walk to the bus stop named Hirakata-koen -"guchi".
"guchi" or "kuchi"means mouth or also "entrance to somewhere". So in this case "guchi" mean that " the entrance to Hirakata-Koen area from Takatsuki area.

Anyway you can move by the bus from early in the morning to late.
However when you go to "Hakata of Kyusyu area" or "Tokyo area".
You can not enjoy so long time.
Of course you can walk from JR Takatsuki to Hirakata-Koen-guchi,
enjoy more long. And it take's 1 hour and half on foot.
That is Very very adventuraus and very safty walk.
When you go to Kyoto or Osaka, you need not use bus.
Take Keihan Railway and it takes 30miutes whichever.
And it takes 1hour and half to Nara City.

次に、観光についてですが、実は私はトレッキングが大好きで、一般的な観光名所についてはあまり詳しくありません。そこで、皆さんがご自身で調べて学べることを以下にまとめました。
まず、私のゲストハウスから日本国内でどれくらい遠くまで行けるかというと、長距離移動には新幹線がよく利用されます。

大阪方面から新幹線に乗る場合、九州方面（西行き）はJR新大阪駅、東京や北海道方面（東行き）はJR京都駅から乗車するのが最も効率的です。私の家から新大阪駅または京都駅へ行くには、徒歩5分のバス停からJR高槻駅までバスに乗ります。所要時間は約20分です。高槻駅からは快速電車（追加料金なし）に乗り換え、西行きの新大阪駅、または東行きの京都駅まで約30分です。

新幹線を利用すれば、九州の博多や東の東京まで、どちらも3時間ほどで到着できます。そのため、東西間の観光地へ日帰り旅行が可能です。新幹線は別途料金がかかりますが、JRの7日間乗り放題ジャパンレールパスは外国人にとってお得です。ただし、このパスは超特急新幹線（のぞみ、みずほ）には利用できませんが、その他の新幹線や通常の特急列車には利用できます。

また、ご滞在期間の8月中旬までは日本の休暇期間です。この期間は電車が大変混雑し、指定席は確保できない場合があります。上記の「のぞみ」と「みずほ」を除き、指定席は無料ですので、ジャパンレールパス購入後、JR NETの外国人向けウェブサイトで可能であれば座席を予約することをお勧めします。

したがって、日帰り旅行で西の九州の博多から東の東京周辺まで観光できます。

各都市の見どころやアクティビティについては、英語のウェブサイトが多数ありますので、そちらで調べてみてください。
私が知っていることは以下の通りです。

時間があるのですから、しっかり調べてください。

ゲストへの枚方ゲストハウスの説明

 先ずゲストハウスの部屋、部屋について説明します。

家の写真は、南側から写した外観です。つまり、庭は南側にあります。

ゲストルームは、家の写真の2階の向かって左側、つまり、ガレージの有る側の2階の部屋がゲストルームです。広さは、2.8mx4.6mです。それに、日本の折りたたみベッド（ふとん）を収納する2.８mｘ0.9mの収納庫が別にあります。部屋にはカーペットを敷いています。

ベランダの有る側には、南側に向いた2.8mx3.7mの部屋があり、その部屋は、私の工具類を保管しています。が、雨の日には洗濯物を室内干しできます。その工具質の北側には2.8mX3.7mの空き部屋があり、予備の日本式ベッド（ふとん）等を収納していますが、ゲストの荷物を保管できます。また、南向きの1.7mx3.7ｍのベランダでは洗濯物を干せます。

1階の右側には、北側（庭と反対側）に2.8mx5.6mのキッチン及び食事室があり、南側（庭側）は私の部屋です。

ガレージ側には、入り口扉の奥に、玄関室、トイレ室、洗面場兼洗濯機室、バス及びシャワー室が並んでいます。ガレージと反対側に、キッチン及び私の部屋があります。

私の部屋の庭側には、ベランダの下に物干し場があり、雨天の時は、ここで洗濯物を干せます。

2階のゲストルームには、冷房機が装備されています。また、日本式の折りたたみ机があります。従って、日本式ベッドを部屋の隅に折りたたむか、収納庫に入れれば、部屋を広く使えて、折り畳み椅子を組み立てて、机として使えます。部屋の照明以外にスタンド照明を使えます。ゲストルームにはTV（日本のTVのみ）、ヘヤードライヤー、タオルを含むアメニテイーを装備しています。

ゲストルーム以外には冷房機が無いため、夏期には扇風機を移動させて使うことになります。

台所には、水道及びガスコンロ、ガス湯沸かしがあり、水道、ガス、電気が使えます。また、食器、調理器、等を装備しています。トースター、電子レンジ、炊飯器、ゲスト用とホスト用の2台の冷蔵庫を装備しています。

台所及びゲストルームには火災報知器を設置しています。調理の際の煙で誤作動した時は、報知機に付いているボタンを押して下さい。

ゲストは、玄関で靴を脱ぎ、室内へは室内用スリッパー若しくは靴下履きで行動してください。

また、ガレージは無料で使えます。

ホストはゲスト宿泊期間の、最初と最後の１～２日に滞在するので、それ以外の期間はゲストだけで、家を使ってください。但し、外出の際の冷房機、ガス器具、電気類等の停止を確実に行い、決められた曜日のごみ集積所へのごみ持ち込み、生ごみの庭への埋込、タオル類の洗濯と日干し、などはゲストが行ってください。

傘及び雨具は用意していませんので、ゲストが準備してください。

禁煙を守ってください。
火災防止のために揚げ物調理は禁止です。

First, let me explain the guesthouse's rooms.

The house photos show the exterior taken from the south. This means the garden is on the south side of the guest-house area.

The guest room is on the second floor, on the left side of the house (the side with the garage). It measures 2.8m x 4.6m. There is also a separate storage room of 2.8m x 0.9m for storing  Japanese folding beds (FUTON is name of Japanese bed).
The room is carpeted.

On the side with the veranda, there is a 2.8m x 3.7m room facing south, where I store my tools. However, laundry can be dried indoors on rainy days. North of this tool room there is an empty 2.8m x 3.7m room, which stores extra Japanese-style beds (futons), etc., but can also be used to store guests' luggage. Laundry can also be dried on the south-facing 1.7m x 3.7m veranda.

On the right side of the first floor, facing north (opposite the garden), is a 2.8m x 5.6m kitchen and dining room, while my room is on the south side (garden side) separeted by Japanese style door.

On the garage side, beyond the entrance door, are the entrance hall, toilet, washroom/laundry room, and bathroom/shower room  which are used separetely.

On the garden side of my room, there's a drying area under the veranda where I can hang laundry on rainy days.

The guest room on the second floor is equipped with air conditioning. It also has a Japanese-style folding desk. Therefore, by folding the Japanese-style bed into the corner of the room or storing it in the closet, the room can be used more spaciously, and a folding chair can be assembled and used as a desk. In addition to the room lighting, a floor lamp is available. The guest room is equipped with a TV (Japanese TV only), hairdryer, and amenities including towels.
Many towels, bath towels and bath mats are prepared in laudry room.

There is no air conditioning outside the guest room, so a fan will need to be moved around during the summer.

The kitchen has running water, a gas stove, and a gas water heater, and has access to water, gas, and electricity. Dishes, cooking utensils, etc., are also provided. A toaster, microwave, rice cooker, and two refrigerators (one for the guest and one for the host) are also included.

Fire alarms are installed in the kitchen and guest room. If the alarm malfunctions due to cooking smoke, please press the button on the alarm.

Guests should remove their shoes at the entrance witch is Japanese-house style and wear indoor slippers or socks inside the house.

The garage is available for free use.

The host will stay for the first and last 1-2 days of the guest's stay; guests are responsible for the rest of the stay. However, guests are responsible for turning off air conditioning, gas appliances, and electricity when going out, taking garbage to the designated collection point on the specified days, burying food waste in the garden, and washing and drying towels.

Umbrellas and rain gear are not provided; guests should bring their own.
Please refrain from smoking.
Deep-frying is prohibited to prevent fires.
